Colin Catney is currently the Chief Operating Officer for National Museums NI. This is a diverse role spanning areas of responsibility from spearheading organisational change, public sector good governance, commercial development and visitor experience. As an Executive Director he leads the major corporate functions together with estates and operational management, health and safety, ICT and digital, and enterprise development.
Colin’s career has enabled him to develop a broad business acumen whist specializing in the field of human resource management and organisational change and development.
He has held senior HR positions in diverse sectors such as FMCG, Textiles, IT, and the drinks industry. He has significant consultancy expertise and is an experienced executive coach.
Throughout his career Colin has worked in very progressive organizations and has been exposed to leading organisational change theory and practice. This international perspective of best practice enables him to work locally but think globally.
Colin lives in Bangor enjoys travelling, music and family life.
