ICC Belfast is Northern Ireland’s only purpose-built international convention centre. The team has a simple vision – to create a world-class stage where people make great things happen and every action taken or decision made is underpinned by their eight organisational values. First opened in 1997 and later extended in 2016, ICC Belfast became hybrid-by-design in June 2020.

The team has long since feted the positive impact business events have on creating a sustainable, thriving society in which there are plenty of opportunities to live, study, visit or invest. Boasting over 7,000m2 event space and 20 years’ experience in delivering national and international events for Association and Corporate clients including The Royal College of Nurses and AstraZeneca, the award-winning venue plays host to thousands of delegates each year with the aim of delivering economic impact that benefits all of Belfast and Northern Ireland.

In partnership with Visit Belfast and Belfast City Council, the team has committed to the development of a sustainable tourism plan as one of the resilience strategy transformational programmes. To this end, a sustainability policy encompassing 11 commitments that are aligned to eight of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals has been created by ICC Belfast. These efforts have not gone unnoticed as earlier this year the venue became the first on the island of Ireland to be accredited by Green Meetings, achieving a silver award following the implementation of a range of initiatives designed to make the organisation greener, healthier, and more sustainable.
