IAAT is the representative body for over 250 adventure activity tourism operators, in a sector that employs over 7,500 people on the island of Ireland.

Members include adventure centres, waterparks, tour operators and businesses offering kayaking, biking, hiking, rafting, horse-riding, coasteering, and many more activities.

IAAT are also members of NITA, ITIC, as well as being partnered with Fáilte Ireland, Tourism Northern Ireland, the Alliance for Insurance Reform, Leave No Trace and the European Confederation of Outdoor Employers.
