Ebrington Square Developments

The Ebrington Hotel & Spa (Opening June 2023)

Experience a luxury city centre sanctuary at the new Ebrington Hotel and Spa due to open in June 2023. Located in Ebrington Square, overlooking the River Foyle the hotel will have 93 guest bedrooms including 4 magnificent suites. Each room has been designed for comfort and luxury, with décor that evokes and combines the charm of the historic building in which it is housed with a modern style.

New Taproom at Walled City Brewery

After opening the award-winning gastro pub in 2015, the Walled City Brewery located next to the Ebrington Hotel and Spa building has open Derry’s first ever Taproom, giving visitors the chance to enjoy their quirky brews without having a sit-down meal. They have an amazing array of beers on offer, plus their rectified spirit range, classic cocktails and even some Austarlian Cabarnet Sauvignon & Pinot Grigio that they fermented themselves! John Hume Peace Collection

A special collection of the world-renowned peace accolades awarded to the late John Hume, are on display in the city’s historic Guildhall. The world-first collection includes the 1998 Nobel Peace Prize, jointly awarded to John Hume and Sir David Trimble, the Martin Luther King Jnr Non-Violent Prize bestowed in 1999, and the Mahatma Gandhi Peace Prize, awarded in 2001. The former St Columb’s College teacher, SDLP leader and architect of the good Friday Agreement, is the only person in the world to have received all three distinguished honours, making this a truly unique collection. The John Hume peace collection is of major historic significance and will be of interest to people from around the world.

City of Derry Airport (CODA) – 250,000th Loganair passenger

Loganair recently celebrated the 250,000th passenger to fly from City of Derry Airport.

NEW: Northern Ireland Corporate & Incentive Support Scheme

The scheme provides financial support to attract corporate and incentive events with a minimum of 100 out-of-state bed nights to Derry~Londonderry and Northern Ireland between 1st April 2023 and 31st March 2024.  The support scheme will assist Visit Derry in showcasing the North West as a dynamic business destination and is funded by Tourism Northern Ireland in partnership with Visit Derry and Visit Belfast.
